Liga AC aims to represent the students from the Faculty of Automation and Computers fighting for their rights and needs. It also has projects on diverse themes, such as ISWinT (International Students Week in Timișoara).
Detailed Description
Having a history of 27 years, Liga AC is one of the most developed student organizations from Romania, being also a founding member of ANOSR (The National Alliance of Student Organizations from Romania). It has IT projects: RoboT Engineering Contest (RoboTEC) – an international robotics competition, IT Engineering Contest (iTEC) – a national IT competition, having challenges on graphic design, algorithmics and mobile, web, embedded and application development and Liga AC LABS (Laboratories Applied in the Benefit of the Student) – a programme where students can attend laboratories held by IT&C Companies. Because Liga AC takes care of the social and cultural need of the students it organizes other events such as a chess competition, a treasure hunt and a international student festival. ISWinT is the biggest and oldest project organized by Liga AC, bringing together students from over 30 countries from around the world and over 100 participants. It is held during the summer and offers workshops and activities that will amaze every preference of its participants. The students stay in the dorms of Politehnica University from Timișoara together with the organizers, being given the chance to experience the life of a romanian student. The activities vary from the international day to the parade and the romanian night, while the workshops have as an objective teaching the participants skills that will help them in the future, such as public speaking, financial education and project management. We obviously have some workshops for the artistic people, such as music, photography, improv theatre and graphic design.
